GLOBAL PREVENTION: HEALTH, EDUCATION AND ENVIRONMENT

Global Prevention Africa Foundation is an NGO committed to the prevention of chronic diseases in Africa. Beyond the promotion of better health, we aim to develop and spread global prevention in Senegal and Africa. Health, education and the environment are inseparable for a better quality of life and sustainable development.

HEALTH

The effects of chronic or no communicable diseases are increasingly visible in many low or middle-income countries. The four main types of no communicable diseases are cardiovascular disease (vascular, cardiac or brain accidents), cancer, chronic respiratory diseases (such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or asthma) and diabetes.

ENVIRONMENT

In 1999, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated during the Ministerial Conference on Health and the Environment that “the environment is the key to better health”. Protecting your environment is protecting your health and that of future generations.

EDUCATION

As UNESCO and the 2015 Incheon Declaration indicate, education develops the knowledge, values and attitudes that enable citizens to lead a full and healthy life, make lucid decisions and react to local and global challenges.
